Team teaching strategy is an activity of group two or more teachers has a goal and strategies, working together to plan, collaboration in activities for the same time of group students. The team teaching is a way in implementation lesson study activity that lately developed to improve the quality of learning because the implementation of team teaching activities based on collaboration. In SMPN 1 Boyolangu used full team teaching. In the full team teaching, teachers teach in the same class with the same material and the same time. The planning, implementation and evaluation done together. This is appropriate with the team building principles in implementation assigment. All of relate to the goal achievement mission do work together, from planning, realization, until evaluation had been implementing
The Statement of the research problems are (1) How is the design of the team teaching strategy and job description of English teachers at SMPN 1 Boyolangu Tulungagung. (2) How is the implementation of team teaching strategy in the English class at SMPN 1 Boyolangu Tulungagung. (3) How is the teachers response to team teaching strategy at SMPN 1 Boyolangu Tulungagung. (4) How are the students responses to team teaching strategy at SMPN 1 Boyolangu Tulungagung. (5) How is the evaluation process in the team teaching strategy at SMPN 1 Boyolangu Tulungagung.
The Objectives of the Research are (1) To know the design of the team teaching strategy and job description of teachers at SMPN 1 Boyolangu Tulungagung. (2) To know the implementation of team teaching strategy in the English class at SMPN 1 Boyolangu Tulungagung. (3) To know the teachers responses to team teaching strategy at SMPN 1 Boyolangu Tulungagung. (4) To know the students responses to team teaching strategy at SMPN 1 Boyolangu Tulungagung. (5) To know the evaluation process in the team teaching strategy at SMPN 1 Boyolangu Tulungagung.
This research is descriptive qualitative design. This research intended to observe the team teaching strategy for VIIIF students at SMPN 1 Boyolangu Tulungagung. The method of collecting data is interview, observation, documentation, and the data were analyzed by using inductive method.
Research finding: (1) The design of the team teaching strategy and job description of English teachers at SMPN 1 Boyolangu Tulungagung are based on the national education minister decree NO 39, 2009 on compliance with the regulatory workload of teachers and education units. The alternatives are offered in these regulations to fill quota of teaching hours every week. One of them, by implementing the team teaching. Teacher must achieve 24 hours as a obtain certivication. (2) The implementation of team teaching strategy in the English class at SMPN 1 Boyolangu Tulungagung are the team teaching teachers always collaboration. (3) The teachers responses to team teaching strategy at SMPN 1 Boyolangu Tulungagung are the team teaching teachers can discuss about material. (4) The students response to team teaching strategy at SMPN 1 Boyolangu Tulungagung are the students more understand about the lesson. (5) The evaluation process in the team teaching strategy at SMPN 1 Boyolangu Tulungagung are the evaluation conducted for students by test of material (writing, speaking, reading, and listening) and for teachers with the discussion for commute knowledge.
Conclusion: The teachers and students have good responses in teaching English with team teaching strategy. The teachers always discussion and working together with partner in the class.
